Achievements of Engr Jennifer Adighije as Managing Director and CEO of NDPHC - Thisday Style Magazine

Engr Jennifer Adighije @engr_jennifer (FNSE, FCIML, FNIEEE) was appointed Managing Director and CEO of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company Limited (NDPHC) in August 2024, marking a new era for one of Nigeria’s key power institutions.

With a diverse background spanning power engineering, telecommunications, and banking, she brings both technical expertise and strategic leadership.

Her career includes roles in power transmission, the telecoms sector, and the Central Bank of Nigeria, where she worked on value engineering and cost control. This wide-ranging experience has prepared her to tackle NDPHC’s complex challenges.

In her first year, she has:

— Restored two turbines at the Ihovbor Power Plant, adding 230MW to the national grid.

— Announced a ₦500 billion investment in transmission infrastructure.

— Advanced Phase II of the National Integrated Power Project (NIPP) with a focus on renewable energy.

Adighije has received notable recognition, including:

— Named among the Top 100 Influential Global Voices at the Leaders Without Borders Summit.

— Honored by the Civil Society Alliance for Transparency and Development (CSATD) for her reform-oriented leadership.
